These Fire Work cookies are a perfect treat to take to a Fourth of July BBQ and even for Memorial Day (I like to make a double batch of these on Memorial Day and freeze the second batch for the fourth!)
Add a glass of Plant-Based milk for dipping and you have a wonderful summer treat everyone will enjoy!
Makes 24 cookies PREP: 30 MIN PREHEAT OVEN TO 350 degrees COOK: 10-12 minutes depending on YOUR oven temps \ Allow to cool for 5 or more minutes
Cannabis Infusion:
When I make these yummies, I use one stick of canna-butter. You get to control how potent you want your canna-butter before you decarb and make the butter
If using a cannabis oil that is pre-made, add to the wet ingredients, including the softened butter and mix thoroughly with an electric mixer and make sure the cannabis oil isn't clumping
Mix together the cake mix, butter, egg, and vanilla until soft dough forms.
Add the cream cheese and mix again.
Stir in the cookie chunks, 1/2 cup M&M's, and 1/4 cup of the sprinkles gently. Refrigerate the dough for 30 minutes to an hour.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Roll into 24 even dough balls. Press the remaining M&M's into the tops of the dough balls. Add extra sprinkles to the tops of the the dough balls, if desired.
Place the dough balls on the cookie sheets and bake for 10 minutes.
Remove from the oven and cool on the cookie sheets for 2 minutes, before moving them to a piece of parchment paper on the counter.
Let the cookies cool completely, and then store in a tightly sealed container. Makes 24 cookies.
